We are proud to announce our chosen charity, The Rooprai Spinal Trust.  We are so passionate about the work they do that we are donating £1 from EVERY entry at OTG to this amazing charity.  So every time you visit us, not only are you having a great day out, you are also helping people with spinal cord injury.

You may remember Marrianne and Andy were our guests on our open day and Marrianne opened the Obstacle Training Ground for us on the 21st July 2018.  

 

RST is a 100% voluntary run organisation meaning that all the money they raise goes directly to making a difference rather than covering overheads.  So your money will really count. 

​

The charity was started after Marrianne Rooprai broke her neck in a devastating car accident and was left paralysed from the shoulders down at just 27 years old.  The Trust was set up by her partner Andy to support Marrianne and to share her story to help and inspire others - and they do just that.  They also support worldwide research in their fight to reverse paralysis and to improve the quality of the lives of those who have such injuries.  This includes making activity based qualified physiotherapy available to everyone in the UK with SCI.  Their work is invaluable and they rely on the support of the local community who take part in various events and challenges across the country and the world. 

 

We have been privileged to have known Marrianne and her husband Andy for some years and their continual dedication to improve both Marrianne's quality of life and the lives of other sufferers is unparalleled.  We feel very lucky to know these 2 amazing people personally and supporting this fantastic charity is a fundamental part of what we want OTG to be about.
